Release notes

0.6.1Digihome

  • Latest release 2026-10-13
  • Mac app and the r1's pet, one version number

Digihome turns your r1 into a companion for your Mac: hold the side button to type with your voice, or turn the wheel to Agent and talk to Claude, which asks the r1 before it uses any tool. 0.6.1 turns Agent mode on for everyone and makes the r1 start straight into the pet.

Platform status

Two halves: the Mac app (listening, typing, Claude) and the pet on the r1.

  • ComputermacOS Available

Apple Silicon, macOS 13 or later. Signed and notarized.

  • r1r1 with custom firmware Works

The pet runs full screen, links over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and the r1 starts straight into it.

  • r1Stock r1, guided installer In development

A guided installer that takes a stock r1 to Digihome from the Mac app.

  • ComputerWindows In the works

The app, typing helper, Bluetooth link and on-device speech are built and running on a test laptop. Not yet tried with a real r1, and not for sale yet.

Highlights

What changed for you across 0.5 and 0.6.

  1. Three modes on the wheel

Whisper types what you say at your cursor. Whisper auto also presses Return. Agent talks to Claude. The pet dresses for each, and the wheel ticks when it lands on one.

    0.6.0
  2. Agent mode, on by default

One ongoing Claude conversation on your Mac, the Pet thread. Every tool it wants to use is an Allow or Deny card on the r1. The Claude Agent SDK downloads on first launch.

    0.6.1
  3. The pet talks back

In Agent mode the pet answers through the r1's speaker, with a quiet mode when you would rather read.

    0.6.0
  4. Register with one paste

Copy the key from your receipt and press Command V in Digihome. One key covers up to 3 Macs.

    0.6.0
  5. Straight into the pet

The r1 restarts directly into the pet, and the Bluetooth link survives the pet app restarting.

    0.6.1
  6. A volume screen

A fader and a big number on the r1, with a hum that follows the level.

    0.6.0, 0.6.1
  7. Everything in one app

The Mac app carries its own speech-to-text, typing helper, Bluetooth bridge and the r1's pet, and sets up a new r1 over USB.

    0.5.0
  8. Problems said out loud

When something on the r1 fails or gets stuck, the Mac says so instead of losing it.

    0.6.1
